Owlcrate March 2017 Sailors, Ships & Seas Unboxing and Review

A little about Owlcrate:

Owlcrate is a monthly subscription box service. Every month, a theme is chosenand a carefully selected brand new Young Adult novel (new or soon to be released), along with 3-5 bookish items to keep. Many times, they will work with designers to custom design something exclusively for Owlcrate to tie into the month's theme. You can order personal or gift subscriptions starting with 1, 3 or 6 months at $29.99 + shipping for one month. More plan options are available online.

March's theme is Sailors, Ships & Seas
My Thoughts: I LOVE this box. Owlcrate have definitely risen its ranks in my mind as my favorite subscription box. Their boxes have truly created an experience for me. This box is just as fun. I loved every item here, though I must say I don't typically use washi tape, but this one is so cute! The book is on my TBR list, so I'm always happy to receive those along with a signed bookplate and author's note. That necklace, and the notepad and the kitchen towel?!! Awesome! And this month's button from Owlcrate may be my favorite one from them so far!

About Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller:
There will be plenty of time for me to beat him soundly once I've gotten what I came for.

Sent on a mission to retrieve an ancient hidden map—the key to a legendary treasure trove—seventeen-year-old pirate captain Alosa deliberately allows herself to be captured by her enemies, giving her the perfect opportunity to search their ship.

More than a match for the ruthless pirate crew, Alosa has only one thing standing between her and the map: her captor, the unexpectedly clever and unfairly attractive first mate Riden. But not to worry, for Alosa has a few tricks up her sleeve, and no lone pirate can stop the Daughter of the Pirate King.

In Daughter of the Pirate King, debut author Tricia Levenseller blends action, adventure, romance, and a little bit of magic into a thrilling YA pirate tale.

Here are several close up shots of the items in the box:

Total value is about $47.08! Definitely worth the $29.99 + shipping. Remember you'll still need to pay shipping if you order the items separately, and if you're like me that loves the signed bookplate or author's note, then definitely worth the purchase.

As much as I anticipate every box in the mail, I also look forward to the "sneak peek" card that tells us the theme for the next month as well as a little spoiler for what to expect of one of the items!

And last, but not least is next month's theme card:

This is what they announced via email:

We’re so excited to announce that the theme of our April box is HEAD OVER HEELS!
This is a box that celebrates all of our favourite fictional couples! If you love Rainbow Rowell, Stephanie Perkins, Sarah J. Maas and Jane Austen, it will be sure to please!
The book included this month is a highly anticipated contemporary novel that is all about first love and finding yourself. It also features a super fun and diverse cast of characters. This book is getting great early reviews and was definitely on a lot of lists of most anticipated reads of 2017! It definitely deserves all the love it’s getting and we know you’ll adore it too!
All of the goodies included this month are OwlCrate exclusives! There are some very fun and exciting items and we can’t wait to share a couple sneak peeks over the coming weeks!
