Remember ... always

"Remember" by Shannon Dermott is the first of the Remember trilogy and it IS something to remember.
Different Covers of Remember
When sixteen year old Charlize finds herself unmistakably lost in the forest with no memory how she got there, it was easy for her to assume the angel face boy who saves her was there to. But little did she know that couldn’t be further from the truth.
With a brush of death, she finds new reasons to live after the unexplained death of her father. Her only regret in last three years was letting the one boy she could have loved get away.
Plunged into a world not of her making, there are those that will hunt her, a foe that calls her Little Queen, and her torn heart. Most of all, she will have to remember and face her memories if she is to survive.
Does it not sound intriguing?  Well, it is. If you're a fan of young adult paranormal fiction, this book
is one you should NOT miss.  It's reminiscent of the Twilight series, with vampires, wolves and a main love triangle, but there's much more than that happening.  The love between Peter and Charlize "Charlie" reminds me of Ethan and Lena from the Beautiful Creatures - two that shouldn't be together, but can't mistake the pull each has on the other.  It's a beautiful love story with an exciting plot.  The mystery behind Charlie's father's death and what's going on with her memories will keep you reading on, not to mention the cuteness of Charlie and Peter, and the deep bond between Charlie and Alex. Then the sense of camaraderie between Peter and Alex will make you want to find out what is going on.

I received a proof copy of the e-book, which clearly states that it is not the final edited print, which will contain spelling and grammar errors. And there were. So that took a little bit of getting use to.  However, it's still worth the read and glowing remarks from me.

In all, I love this book. I love the story. I love the characters (all well developed - at least the main characters for this first book).  I enjoyed it so much and were so engrossed in the plot, that it continues to captivate my mind and thoughts even days after.  After reading this book, I immediately went to find out more info on Ms. Dermott and when will the rest of the books of the series will be available, and I'm disappointed to say I was not able to find out that info.  If anyone does find out, please pass that info along. Like me, I'm pretty sure after reading this book, you can't wait for the next one.

NOTE:  I received a complimentary proof copy of this e-book from the publisher, Wicked Truth Publishing / Indie Sage PR through Net Galley for an honest review.
