"That the World May Know: a Discovery Lesson" is a series of video/film sessions on experiencing the Bible in historical context led by Ray Vander Laan. This review will be focused on Volume 13: Israel's Mission: Becoming a Kingdom of Priests in a Prodigal World. Just based on this volume alone, I can say the series is one of enrichment, focus and experience.
A powerful experience through the marriage of biblical historic facts with current location of biblical locations, "Israel's Mission" is beyond any typical Bible study. The film was beautiful and brings many settings in the studies to life. Along with the film, a very substantial study guide will provide insight, enriched your minds and bring focus to any participant. This volume includes 5 lessons, with an episode each, along with Scripture passages to explore, additional information and study tools and featured questions that facilitate discussion and inspire personal reflection.
The 5 lessons filmed on location in the Middle East are:
- Abraham and Sarah and Three Strangers (Negev, Israel)
- Israel at Sinai: The First Great Commision (Timnah, Israel)
- Jesus Renews the Mission: Seeking the Lost (Qatzrin, Israel)
- The Lost Son: In a Far Country (Jerash, Jordan)
- The Seeking Father: The Lost on Returns (Qatzrin, Israel)
And now through September 18th, That the World May Know through Litfuse Publicity Group is giving away the whole series (all 13 DVDs). Check it out:
One grand prize winner will receive:

NOTE: I received a complimentary set of this film and discovery guide from the publisher, Zondervan through Litfuse Publicity Group for an honest review.
