Kick Procrastination Goodbye

That's right. You go ahead and say goodbye to procrastination. Go ahead. Wave it out of you.  You're probably thinking what am I talking about? Do you know me? That's it. I don't know you, but I know we're living in a "much to do" society.  There's always something on the to do list - always something to catch up on.  Well, now is the time to control it. It is the time to tame it with the help of Glynnis Whitwer's  "Taming the To-Do List: How to Choose Your Best Work Every Day" .

"Taming the To-Do List"  is not a book just about procrastination. What?!?!

It is about finding the reasons behind this procrastination and the reason behind the self-imposed busyness that is lackluster in the overall scheme of the type of work you are able to do.  Because we procrastinate or stretch ourselves so thin, the outcome of our tasks are mediocre at best.  Not only that, we miss the opportunity to be part of the work that God ordained. In time, it snowballs into something that affects us physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. It will also affect our relationships with family and friends.

So why do we procrastinate? Why are we always playing catch-up? Ms. Whitwer gave us several reasons from focus to fear to desire to please everyone...etc. With the seismic shift in society due to advances in technology, we are given the responsibility to respond, and not to seek as times before voicemail, email, text messages...etc all came into play.  And from that understanding, we seek to please and desire praise and pride in others review of self.  The fear to admit you can't do it just clutches you. Find out what is the reason behind your stress-filled list, and then tackle it.  Clarity is the first step in knowing and understanding why.

God created us with the intention of rest, and not to fill a life with tasks and to-do lists. He gave us just enough time, not too much and not too little for the plans He have for us.  With advice based on self examples, Biblical scriptures and research, "Taming the To-Do List" is just that. Tame your to-do list to help you choose your best work everyday honoring your self, your family, your friends and God.  I find it insightful and informative and something I know I will refer to many times over, especially when things get overwhelming. So why not start now?  That's it. Start your weekend in control of doing the best work, the important work that God has bless you with.
"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens." - Ecclesiastes 3:1
