ABOUT THE BOOK
This book is a collection of the following 3 novellas:
A SLEIGH RIDE ON ICE
MOUNTAIN
Kelly Long
For solitary toy-maker Sebastian Christner, hiring Kate Zook as his new housekeeper is simply the right thing to do. Now she can support her special-needs brother. But one taste of her independent spirit is showing him undreamed-of holiday joy—and making him long to give her a home for always . . .
A MAMM FOR CHRISTMAS
Amy Lillard
Bernice Yoder has far too much to do to entertain holiday dreams. Even if she can help Jess Schmucker outwit his three mischievous young daughters, it's impossible to imagine the handsome widower can see her as anything but a scolding schoolteacher. He never guesses how a magical Christmas Eve will open his eyes to love or how Der Herr will awaken their faith and hope.
AN UNEXPECTED CHRISTMAS BLESSING
Molly Jebber
As much as Charity Lantz's children need a father, the young widow isn’t sure her new neighbor Luke Fisher can ever be the right choice. They’re having more disagreements than snowflakes in December. Besides, he's never given a sign he wants to be more than friends. Can Gott show them a way past their misunderstandings to a forever love?

MY THOUGHTS
A SLEIGH RIDE ON ICE MOUNTAIN
A lovely story of life beyond brokenness. I love this quote, "...I always think of kaleidoscopes as being a little bit like life and faith - you can take what's broken and meld it together to bring about something new and whole, an ever-changing picture but an unchanging love of yourself and others." (43) Doesn't that quote alone warrant a chance to read this story for yourself? You won't be disappointed. However, I will note that I was a little surprised by the sensual elements in this story. Don't worry, it doesn't get to the point of sexual, and it is minor.
A MAMM FOR CHRISTMAS
This one just cracks me up. The little antics of Constance, Hope & Ruth brings a smile to any reader. Sometimes it just takes the sweet, innocent minds of 3 little girls, their tender hearts and big faith in God to bring them what they want most, a new mamm, and just in time for Christmas! You won't want to miss this fun ride with them!
AN UNEXPECTED CHRISTMAS BLESSING
This last story brings forth the theme of God's divine planning in joining those in need in His perfect timing, not to mention the help of precious little ones. It's quite miraculous where one lacks, the other compensates, and brings forth a partnership of supernal design. Sweet and cozy, you will not want to miss An Unexpected Christmas Blessing, for it is a blessing in itself.
Warmth invades your senses as you read these three wonderfully written stories of family, faith of little ones and the joy of riding together on a journey of new familial bliss.

ReplyDeleteI enjoy Amish stories. This looks like a great collection. And it's a fabulous giveaway! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI have only been reading Amishs fiction since early this year. So it's a brand new genre within Christian fiction that I have discovered and enjoy immensely. I have only hear of Molly Jebber in the last few months and I am blown away by the amazing reviews she gets on her novels. My list of authors in this genre is small, but growing.
