OK, I think everyone should go out and BUY this book, Master Your Money by Ron Blue with Michael Blue. Every household needs one, and make sure every one, ages 16+ reads this. Why? Because this not only give you tips on managing your finances, it provides a reason and understanding in a Biblical context. With that said, I believe kids should be taught about finances from an early age. Though Master Your Money really wouldn't be understandable to young kids, I still think the concept should be shared early on, and young teens especially should learn the value of saving and the problem debt creates.

When it comes to finances, it's a sore or sensitive topic, not only amongst friends, but also family members. When it comes to figuring out how to master ones' money, everyone has their own opinion or a lack of financial planning. Ron Blue shares personal stories, while giving readers insights on attaining financial freedom in the current and eternal sense.  The first edition was written 30+ years ago, and with this latest edition, with his son, Michael Blue, we are given a glimpse of how this book and its ideas have impacted them as individuals and as a family.  You can read Master Your Money easily as Ron's down-to-earth voice shines through, like an old friend. And like a conversation with an old friend, some hard truths will reveal itself. But no worries there, as Ron provided practical solutions and informative charts and organizational methods to help you through. And ultimately the most practical way he divulges to his readers is to " 'Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.' Proverbs 3:5-6" (73)
