Uppercase Box June 2016 Unboxing Reveal + Review

Hello everyone! I'm just catching up with all my wonderful mail haul of my beloved book box subscriptions! First to arrive, Uppercase. It arrived in its usual fashion, USPS priority mail bubble wrap.  I was too excited, so I forgot to take a pic.

For those who just joined us in this monthly box frenzy on Just Commonly, Uppercase is a monthly Young Adult (YA) book box subscription. Each month, a brand new, newly released YA novel arrives with 3-5 high quality bookish items. Oh, how could I forget, each book is either signed by the author or includes a signed bookplate. How cool is that?  This plan, the "Expert" plan, is $23/month + shipping & handling.  There is also the "Exclusive Book" plan for $17/month, which only covers the signed YA novel.

OK, with the basics down, here's the first glimpse of everything in the box/bag.

Want to know what I think? Scroll on down!

For many, they may check out all the little things first. For this booknerd, I jump right to the book to see what mystery book I get this month!

This month, it's My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton and Jodi Meadows. This was on my TBR list, so I'm happy I have one more book jumping from the never-ending TBR list to the stacking up TBR actual in possession pile.  There's a nice bookmark to add to my collection, and the "special experience" bookmark, exclusive with Uppercase .  It includes pretty interesting tidbits and videos from the author.  Once you read up to a certain page, there's a corresponding code you enter on the designated website. With the March box, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience with Rebel in the Sand.

O, and look! It includes a lovely note and are signed by ALL 3 authors! Now, tell me the truth, do you really read the note from the author? (*sheepishly*, I sometimes skip it until I read the book.) One thing though, the signatures are signed on an exclusive Uppercase page (see that round logo of Uppercase's?) Kind of reminds me of the Book of the Month logo they put on the cover.  This one includes signatures and it's inside the book.  Personally, I'm not too thrilled about the subscription services logo on any part of the book.

Enough about the book. Here are the other goodies.

Deathly Hallows Wooden Magnet from Juniper & Ivy Designs.  This magnet is of a nice quality.  Sturdy and pretty. The wood is natural, you even see some of the grains and natural splits. Comes in a little dust bag.

Next, this gorgeous custom tote bag with design by Risa Rodil (an Uppercase exclusive)! How exciting. I love that it's a pretty design on a tote bag. I'm always in need of one to carry around, just in case I stop in a bookstore! The cotton is a decent thickness and weave. Not crazy see-through and cheap like some you get at the dollar store. I'm totally sporting this at the next trip to the bookstore!

And last, but certainly not least, I enjoy the personal note from Lisa, the founder of Uppercase on the sheet with the list of items included in this month's box.

So what do you think of this month's Uppercase box?  (Hagrid's just hanging out - not part of the box.)  I'm always excited to receive Uppercase's box. Their book selection and quality items definitely set them apart, not to mention the signed books.  To me, I like that it's signed. What about you?

If you have time, check out my BOOKISH BOXES page for more thoughts on my box subscriptions!
