A Bible that combines two hot trends: Bible journaling and adult coloring. Each Bible spread contains a line-drawn illustration that can be filled in by the reader with whatever colors they choose. Includes three varieties of illustrations: (1) filigree, (2) Scripture quotes, and (3) drawings that illustrate the topic of the corresponding Bible text.

The Illustrator's Notetaking Bible from Holman Bible Publishing and B&H Publishing is very similar to The HCSB Note-taking Bible from the same publishers.
The interior of this Bible have similarities as well as differences. The main difference is that this one includes beautiful lined images for the illustrator in you to imagine and create. Remember to use non-bleed through markers or just use color pencils. The paper are of good quality, but you want to be on the safe side. This one is too pretty for me to do a test run. Sorry. As to similarities, the pages are ivory color with black print, and very small dotted line on the edge, serving as note lines. The lines are not strong in contrast due to the "dotted" nature, and not easy for those with larger handwriting to stay within the lines. The fonts are standard font sizes you find in most Bibles. Headings in a san serif font, and verses in serif. Jesus' words are not in red.

Everything I like about The HCSB Note-taking Bible, I also find it in The Illustrator's Notetaking Bible, but with the added bonus of the 600+ images to play and personalize with. For the artist in you, or the ones that would love a little whimsy, The Illustrator's Notetaking Bible may just be the right Bible for you. Perfect gift for yourself or for others. =)
