Dani had planned to spy on Brett--so how did she end up on a date with him?

Dani Prescott can't believe the lie Brett Somers is trying to sell to the media. During an interview about the plane crash that killed his parents, he blamed Dani's mother. But the crash killed her as well. Vowing to restore her mother's reputation, Dani has been following Brett and taking photos, hoping to find something she can use to discredit him. But when she catches his eye instead, she quickly finds herself agreeing to a date. Brett knows this mystery girl is hiding something--but he's got his own secrets to keep. What will happen when he discovers who she really is?

When Love Arrives by Johnnie Alexander is a sweet and well played sequel to Where She Belongs, book 1 of the Misty Willow series. Though, I surmise one can read When Love Arrives as a standalone, but it really needs to be read as part of series, in continuity.  Lucky for me, I've read book 1 and I also happened to have loved it. Really, those girls, Tabby and Elizabeth are a-dorable!  And I'm thrilled to see their appearance in When Love Arrives, along with their sidekick lab, Lila. The other characters that you've met in book 1, Shelby, AJ, Amy, Meghan will all be relevant in this book.

In When Love Arrives, we see the changed Brett Somers trying to follow God, put his sinful ways behind him. In come Dani, trying to find the worst in him in an attempt to humiliate him as a form of revenge. But how did she end up "hanging out" with him and subsequently falling for him? His Somers charm is legendary, or is it his confidence or his dimpled smile or his strikingly good looks? Or could it just be his true nature that Dani's falling for?  Yet, what will happen if Brett finds out who she really is? Brett, the redeemed bad boy from Where She Belongs had me wanting to slap him several times in the last book. In When Love Arrives, I just want to tell him all will be well.

Truly a sweet story of how you might have one plan, but God's plan will always be better.  A quick read that continues on the tale within Misty Willow, where generations can grow.
