The children's book "The Adventures of Rooney Cruz: Abigail The Belle of Bravery" is the third of an original children's Christian book series presenting real heroes like never before! Give your little belle the chance to learn about and look up to real role models: the Bible Belles! This fun Christian story book is great for pre and early readers age 4-8, and independent readers age 9 and 10.

With the help of her angel Mari, Rooney has learned that she has two real superpowers: Prayer and Patience. The adventure continues in Book Three of the Bible Belles series, as Rooney faces her toughest challenge yet. After a tough afternoon with her brother and some neighborhood kids, Rooney is faced with a difficult choice: can she be brave enough to do the right thing?

Through the story of Abigail, Rooney learns that she can call upon the courage of God to boldly face any problem with the confidence that He will see her through it!

In this fun kid's book, travel with Rooney on many exciting and meaningful adventures that will teach her about the amazing God who loves her and transform her into the best kind of superhero-a Bible Belle!. Help your little belle learn the true definition of beauty and unlock the secret of her own life: God made her a hero, too! In today's world, the girls who are the loudest are the ones who get noticed. Together, the Bible Belles show us how to make a different kind of noise.

Our mission is to empower the next generation of girls to make a different kind of noise. We serve the moms and dads out there who struggle with what the world tells their daughters to be. Imagine if you could give your daughter superpowers, a chance to discover the hero inside her heart. Don't let what the world tells her be her truth. Instead, guide your daughter toward her destiny, and help her discover God's love and her purpose.

The Adventures of Rooney Cruz is a great series for young girls to learn about female characters in the Bible and the "superpower" they have.  I love that girls can relate to the story and to these Biblical characters in the modern sense, giving them a way to find strength in themselves and in God.  The concept of being h.e.a.r.d, taken from Exodus 28:35, "The sounds of the bells will be heard," brings forth 5 characters in the Bible that demonstrates 5 different traits, and each characters' names begins with a letter in the word heard.

With Abigail, we have the belle of bravery, and Rooney, like other Bible Belles stories, is transported back to Biblical times through Mari, her angel sidekick. This time, she gets to see what makes Abigail brave and from Abigail's story, learn what it means to be brave.  What I also love about this series, is how readers are given examples of situations that kids can relate to, like being mean, and how to make this right, as in this story. We also learn how to pray with kids through Rooney's prayers.  In all a wonderful series to really teach girls the aspects and character traits to be a Godly woman, girl in this case. *wink.

  1. My favorite female character in the Bible is, of course, Mary, Jesus' mother. As a mother, I can't imagine the pain of giving up your child to death. I don't know if I could handle it. However, knowing that they would be with our Heavenly Father would be a great comfort. I'm sure Mary found strength and comfort in God as well.

    1. Wow! Debbie, you're right. What Mary had to bear was indeed painful. Thanks for sharing!

  2. I like Esther. She was kind, loving and patient. These Bible Belle books are wonderful to share with my grandchildren..

  3. So many to choose from! Esther is right up there! But I think I'd go with Ruth -- she showed her bravery by following Naomi, Naomi's God and people. She then continued to show bravery upon meeting Boaz -- you go, girl!

  4. I love Ruth! She's such a strong, brave woman.

  5. I have always loved the story of Ruth but I think that Esther was extremely brave. She saved her people while risking her own safety.

    1. That's so true. It's always been hard for me to pick my favorite female characters from the Bible. There's just so few, but they do all stand out!
