Dear All, from Annie + Two Giveaways!

Dear readers, authors and fans of Just Commonly,

I was recently hospitalized and officially diagnosed with migraines. It's been only a couple of days at home resting, and recuperating from the associated ailments of migraines. Unfortunately, my recent struggles with migraines and being hospitalized because of it have made a significant change in my lifestyle, especially to my reading schedule. It's my first encounter and realization of how migraines can be so debilitating. After much prayer and discussion with my doctor, I've decided to take a month off in adjusting and accommodating this new lifestyle change. With that said, Just Commonly will not have any new posts for the month of December.

I apologize for not spending and sharing one of my favorite months with you, talking about best books to give and the many wonderful books to review. Don't worry, previously scheduled reviews will just be delayed to early 2017.  My year end "Best" lists will need to be postpone as well, as well as the many giveaways I've planned.  However, I've decided to still post TWO of the intended giveaways which is a THANK YOU to readers and fans of Just Commonly. Just scroll on down for more info.

I will dearly miss this time with you. As you had surmised, my presence on social media will also be affected for December until I have a better grasp on managing my time with the diagnosis, along with time to meet with my doctors.

Merry Christmas, everyone!  I'll see you next year, where things will start up again on Just Commonly, with a new feature of many guest posts by your favorite authors! So don't leave me too long!

  1. Annie, I suffer from migraines, too. Mine come from the occipital lobe of my brain. So I get weird squiggly lines in my eyes. You are wise to give yourself time off. Though I know you love books and reading! Take care. I wish you a healthier holiday season and a happy New Year!

  14. I'm sorry you are having to deal with migraines. Besides the pain, I think it would be really hard not to be able to read as much. I'm praying this break will be just what you need.

  15. I get migraines as well from time to time and passed it down to my girls. However, my youngest has them the most. For three years she suffered nearly on a daily basis writhing in pain they were so bad. Finally, we found a pain specialist here in town who suggested Botox injections in her head and along the back of her neck and shoulders. They have worked wonders. She still gets headaches from time to time, but not nearly as bad as before. I hope you don't have that much trouble with these migraines. God bless and good luck.
