A special 2-in-1 story to celebrate the holidays!

The Midwife's Christmas Surprise by Marta Perry: Three years ago, the man Anna Zook hoped to marry left her and their Amish community for the English world. Now devoted to proving her abilities as a midwife, Anna has given up on marriage and children for herself. But when Benjamin Miller returns, now a changed man, can delivering a Christmas baby reunite these two hurting hearts?

A Christmas to Remember by Jo Ann Brown: When a little girl leads shop owner Amos Stoltzfus to an Amish woman in distress, he rushes them to his family's farm. "Linda" has no memory and doesn't know if the sweet child is her daughter or even her kin. As Christmas arrives and Linda's identity is revealed, will Amos be able to claim his holiday guests as his own?

I love Christmas stories, and I love Amish stories. So Love Inspired's Amish Christmas Blessings is just perfect. And guess what?! It has two stories instead of one. I great "snack," as I call these heartwarming Love Inspired stories and novellas. Amish Christmas Blessings consists of The Midwife's Christmas Surprise by Marta Perry and A Christmas to Remember by Jo Ann Brown.

The Midwife's Christmas Surprise touched on lost love and forgiveness, while A Christmas to Remember is about generosity, hospitality and mainly finding love unexpectedly.  Both are easy to read and quick romantic stories, but packs in much more than the number of pages it suggests. It's surprising how it delved on some serious issues in such a short amount of time.  And that is a testament to the good writing by both authors. I did not find one area that had be questioning nor editorial issue. It was simply an enjoyable read.

Update: Originally this was one of my December posts that got delayed when I closed blog for the month. I had a lovely guest post from Marta Perry with a cookie recipe! Many thanks to my friend, Carrie of Reading Is My Superpower to post it for me on her blog.  Click on her image on the side to take you there.

Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher. I was not required to write a positive review, and have not been compensated for this. This is my honest opinion.
