All kinds of LOVE with Mary Connealy, author of Long Time Gone

Just Commonly welcome authors to drop by and share with us their take on a book that embodies a predetermined Word of the Month!  For the full year of 2017, every Monday at 7:00 AM EST, a new post by a new author will be live!

We're onto the last Word of the Month post in February, and we cap it with Mary Connealy, and she's here to talk about another kind of love than romance.

"Long Time Gone, my February release, is about parent’s love for their children, brothers and sisters loving each other, and of course, romantic love. In any romance novel, the hero and heroine are drawn to each other at the same time life tosses barriers in her way to keep them apart. In Long Time Gone, my book releasing this month I made the hero and heroine attracted to each other at the same time they were absolutely wrong for each other. This is the kind of thing only True Love can overcome. So that’s basic romance. But in the Cimarron Legacy Series romantic love is first, but a strong second is the love of family. Adult children who clash with each other in good times and fight together in bad times…and parents who want them to love each other always. The father makes a clumsy stab at getting them together and goes too far. But he does it out of love. It’s a lot of fun seeing the collision of strong personalities and how the father’s ham handed manipulation really does work in the end. "

Mary Connealy writes romantic comedy with cowboys always with a strong suspense thread. She is a two-time Carol Award winner, and a Rita, Christy and Inspirational Reader's Choice finalist.

She is the bestselling author of 48 books and novellas.

Her most recent three book series are: Cimarron Legacy, Wild at Heart, Trouble in Texas, Kincaid Bride for Bethany House Publishing. She’s also written four other series for Barbour Publishing and many novellas and several stand-alone books for multiple publishers.

Mary will be a published author for ten years in 2017 with nearly a million books in print. She has a degree in broadcast communications with an emphasis in journalism and has worked at her local newspaper.

Thank you, MARY!

I'm a huge fan of Book 1 of the Cimarron Legacy Series, No Way Up, which is on my 2016 Historical Fiction favorite reads.  (There's a huge giveaway too!) So I'm definitely looking forward to Long Time Gone! I also love all the covers, including Book 3, Too Far Down (did you catch a glimpse of the cover above?)!!
