Forgiveness of an Outlaw with Susan Page Davis

Just Commonly welcome authors to drop by and share with us their take on a book that embodies a predetermined Word of the Month!  For the full year of 2017, every Monday at 7:00 AM EST, a new post by a new author will be live!

"Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a
grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you."
- Colossians 3:13 NIV

As April descends, so does the sign of spring and new life.  Let the sign of new life remind us that the old has passed, and let not grievances take over your heart. This month, the word is forgiveness. Susan Page Davis is here to share a little about a story where the meaning of this word echos throughout.

"We’ve all had moments when we knew we should clear the air on something that has happened. Those who don’t act on the impulse often find themselves in deep water. That happens to Johnny Paynter in The Outlaw Takes a Bride. His guilt and fear of exposure drive him to more deceit. At first he justifies lying because he’s been wrongfully accused of a murder. But how can he explain why he married Sallie under false pretenses? She doesn’t even know his real name! I hope this story will help readers see that the truth really is best, and that forgiveness from God and mankind is greater than safety, comfort, or security."
