"I'm not ready to die, God. Not yet." (13)

Title:  Pursued
Series: The Nikki Boyd Files, Book 3
Author: Lisa Harris
Publisher:  Revell
Release Date:  April 4, 2017
Genre: Inspirational Contemporary Fiction/Suspense

Nikki Boyd's flight into Nashville was routine--until the crash landing at the airport.

When the dust settles, Nikki discovers that the woman who had been seated next to her on the plane is missing--and no one will admit she was ever there. When she learns that Erika Hamilton had been flying to Nashville with an air marshal as a key witness in an upcoming grand jury trial, Nikki wonders if her disappearance from the crash site means she's running from trouble--or straight into it. Before Nikki can even see her family, she and her team are pulled into a missing persons case where the motives are as unclear as the suspects.

Bestselling and award-winning author Lisa Harris has planted danger around every turn in this can't-put-it-down thrill ride that will leave you stunned.

Another fast-paced adventure by Lisa Harris. Pursued is the third novel in The Nikki Boyd Files series, and I was looking forward to this one for some time. Why? I want to find out what happened to her sister, Sarah, many years ago. And unfortunately for fans like me, we will not find out in this book. I was quite disappointed as it seem we would be left in the dark, thinking this will be the last of The Nikki Boyd Files. I am wrong. The next book, Vanishing Point will release towards the end of the year, and it will finally provide answers to that mystery that started in Book 1 as a back story to Nikki.
Back to the current storyline, Pursued was intense. From the first pages we encounter a plane crash with more questions than answers as Nikki tries to find the lady that was sitting next to her. Nikki is her stubborn self when we witness her trying to piece everything together, and when lives are on the line, will she find strength to pursue or lose more than her life? Honestly, this may be my favorite one from The Nikki Boyd Files so far. It has action and intrigue with clues that scatter throughout, along with twists after twists. If you love suspense, this is one. The romance was fairly downplayed in my opinion, but I love the suspense part for sure.   Now, I'm really looking forward to the next one!
