I'm thrilled that author Sarah Morgan continued her From Manhattan With Love series which is set in New York City. I've enjoyed reading how my hometown comes to life in this series, especially about her characters that find life and a purpose. Though far from what one would call "clean" romance (it does have some intimate scenes), it isn't by far graphic nor obscene. It's acceptable.  And in her New York, Actually, there's a wonderful reason why it's just as good or even better than the others in the series. Why?

"In this world where it was almost impossible to find the right person, she'd found someone who was protective, loyal and affectionate, and he was all hers."

Who you ask? Protective, loyal and affectionate is in a great big dalmatian named Valentine! How sweet is that? I'm always partial to stories with a pup in the mix, being a pupmom myself. And in New York, Actually we have Valentine and a German Shepherd named Ruffles/Brutus. You'll see why in the story. I love the dynamics of how these dogs paved way for a romance that taught our main characters something about themselves and about love. Past hurts doesn't have to rule or define them and it is with self acknowledgement and self understanding for these characters that brings these stories up a notch from their contemporaries.  I'm definitely looking forward to the next one in the series, so I can indulge in the very known fact that is evident in New York, Actually.

"New York actually is the best city in the world."

For my clean readers, please note this novel contains minor profanity and multiple intimate scenes.

  1. I have three dogs so I'm particularly partial to good dog stories, and it sounds like there are some GREAT dogs in this one!
