FALL is here! And since I've been under the weather for some time, I thought of some books from previous years one can enjoy when they need a little pick-me-up! The following stories do not include any classics since if we add in those, it might be too much. Just click on the cover image to take you to my review.
For a good Amish read that touches on topics of the home, and where home is, this anthology from Thomas Nelson & Zondervan Fiction with stories from Beth Wiseman, Amy Clipston, Ruth Reid & Kathleen Fuller will keep you all warm inside!
Another Amish story, but this one I would reread for the love story set during a magical time of the year, and in Pinecraft! One of my favorites from Shelley Shepard Gray for sure!
Ahhh... how could I not include this amazing book from one of my favorite authors, Julie Lessman? Isle of Hope falls under the Contemporary Fiction that will require some tissues and some gut-wrenching and soul-searching moments!
After the crying fest from the book above, check out Jen Turano's In Good Company. If I need a good laugh, I can always count on Jen. And Millie's one of my favorite all time characters, so definitely a reread must!
For great banters and a love story that will have you fall in love with characters you despised at first, Kristi Ann Hunter's An Elegant Façade is not to miss.
Who does't love a story with a great message and adorable kids? Ruth Logan Herne sure knows how to write them, and Home on the Range is definitely cream of the crop!
Want some musical love? This YA story from Intermission gives you that and much more. Be sure to have tissues handy for this one too!
Ahhh.. I cannot not love Can't Help Falling and for this Narnia fan, rereading this will give me all the laughs and love for one of my favorite childhood series!
Need some Appalachian love? How about a story that just worms your way into your hearts. A Twist of Faith is one reread to enjoy just because it has it all.
Joshua's Mission gives my heart an aching to do something. Grace filled the pages!
When it comes to suspense, this compilation from three great suspense writers, Dani Pettrey, Lynette Eason and Dee Henderson is a must read.
A love for classics like Pride & Prejudice? This one from V. Joy Palmer will satisfy that love with laughter and fun.
And to end this list, a story of family and of the Christmas spirit, An Endless Christmas by Cynthia Ruchti had easily become a yearly must-read for me.
There you have it! My list of "Fall" back books in time for the upcoming year-end 2017 best list!
Happy Fall!
Ive read several of those books and they are so good!

DeleteThanks for sharing. I haven't read any of these except the last and I definitely agree that An Endless Christmas is worth re-reading and I think that Cynthia book from last year, Restoring Christmas, is also worthy of second reads!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree Connie about Restoring Christmas! As I finished writing this post, I had SOOO many more that popped up in my mind again including those from Karen Witemeyer, Mary Connealy, Courtney Walsh, Katie Ganshert...etc.. just so many. I might need to do a Part II!
DeleteI really want to read "An Elegant Facade" and "Can't Help Falling"- they both sound really good! I absolutely adore Narnia, so "Can't Help Falling" just sounds so appealing- I love the idea of combining a love story with elements of those classics. Thanks for posting!
