Book Review: Blind Spot, Chesapeake Valor Book 3 by Dani Pettrey

"A war was headed for U.S. soil, and . . . there wasn't
a thing he could do to stop it."

Title:  Blind Spot
Series: Chesapeake Valor, Book 3
Author: Dani Pettrey
Publisher: Bethany House
Release Date:  October, 2017
Genre: Inspirational Contemporary Fiction / Suspense

The Wrath is Coming. But They Don't Know Where--Or When.

"The wrath is coming" were the final words that FBI agent Declan Grey heard the suicide bomber say. Now Declan is in the chase of his life--but isn't sure exactly what he's chasing after or when the threat will be unleashed on American soil. When his investigation's best clue leads him to a closed immigrant community, he turns to Tanner Shaw for assistance. She's sought justice for refugees and the displaced around the world, and if there's anyone who can help him, it's Tanner.

Tanner Shaw has joined the FBI as a crisis counselor . . . meaning she now has more opportunity to butt heads with Declan. As they work together to uncover the mounting threat, the tension between them also includes a spark she can't deny--and she's pretty sure Declan feels the same. But before anything more can develop, they find themselves in a race against time to stop the coming "wrath" that could cost thousands their lives.

Blind Spot by Dani Pettrey continues the Chesapeake Valor series with intensity and purpose. Ever read a book that just draws you in from the get go and not let go even days after finishing it? Well, this book, rather this series is it. Blind Spot gave me a thrill ride with its fast-paced action (that includes some awesome kick-butt moves) from our characters.

Declan and Tanner's chemistry were already sizzling from the previous books, especially in Still Life. So you can imagine my anticipation in reading their story in this one. And boy, was it hot. Dani Pettrey have easily jumped up to my favorite authors list with her ease in crafting suspense that chills, thrills and electrifies. However, it's the addition of well-developed characters that personifies reality amidst trials that truly seals the deal. Her characters have such depth in them that it carries throughout the series, even if they are not the main characters. And when you also factor in the message of faith and hope that emerge, well, it's a winner for sure.

"I believe God gives us all gifts to use for His glory."

In all, readers can be assure that Blind Spot is a story that captivates from beginning to end, with perfect pacing, characters you'll fall in love it, and suspense thread that have you gritting in excitement.
