You don't have to settle for "I'm fine."

Understanding God's character and how he loves us changed Holley Gerth's life in beautiful, powerful ways. She realized that the hope, joy, peace, and purpose we all long for can be found in his heart. Knowing who God is and the ways he cares for us empowers us to overcome the restlessness and stress we all tend to feel in this busy, overwhelming world.

Whether you're going through a hard time or simply dealing with the everyday challenges of life, you'll find encouragement, hope, and new strength on these pages. With Holley's help, you'll discover that "the God who scattered stars like diamonds across the velvet of the universe, the keeper of every sparrow, the maker of us all is inviting us to draw closer to him. . . . He is what we've been searching for all along."

". . .His word is one long love letter of encouragement.'" (67)

Holly Gerth's Hope Your Heart Needs is one little book that fit much thought that is almost contradictory to its size. There are 52 chapters (probably by design) and there are 52 weeks in a year. It'll make a great weekly devotional on top of your daily quiet time. Of course, you can go ahead and use it daily, but having done so myself, I would recommend taking your time.

Hope Your Heart Needs is the first book of Holly Gerth's that I've read. Hope is a strong and heavy word for me, and the author's easy style of writing, almost like she's conversing with each one of us makes Hope Your Heart Needs the type of devotional that really speaks to me. Her words of encouragement, backed by scripture and personal stories does act as reminders for us. Reminders of His Word, His promise and His love. A weekly devotional that may make a great start of a week, to inspire, uplift and encourage readers, and in turn those they encounter.

Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher. I was not required to write a positive review, and have not been compensated for this. This is my honest opinion.
